Welcome to the 1 MCD Chaplain website. This is a personal webpage run by the 1 MCD chaplain as a place to disseminate information, post resources, and help Marines and families serving within 1 MCD.

Chaplains develop and strengthen the moral and spiritual well-being of Marines. Specifically, your chaplain is here to help you in these ways:

• Provide confidential pastoral counseling on topics like marriage and family, stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, work issues, and many other topics. 

• Provide spiritual direction and guidance.

• Connect you with helping resources.

• Advise you on matters of morality, ethics, and spirituality. 

• Assist with any religious accommodation requests. 

• Assist with conscientious objector requests. 

• Facilitate any religious needs you have. 

• Provide religious ministry to you, depending on your faith background. 

Confidentiality: All direct communication to a chaplain is presumed to be confidential. Chaplains will not disclose confidential communication without the informed consent of the person who made the communication (SECNAVINST 1730.11).
